MIA for a few days..

Sorry gals... I'm going to be MIA for a few days so I probably will not get around to posting deals... My twins are running high fevers and I'm just totally exhausted now. Twin 1 was in the ER today and that was not fun at all! After 3 IV attempts, chest xrays, urine analysis, nose and throat cultures.... Twin 1 does not have pneumonia. THANK GOD!!! He just has a really bad case of a cold virus that's kicking his little hinny... Twin 2 just has a high fever with a little bit of fluid in his ears... so he's on antiboitics... Made DH go get the prescription at CVS and got a $25 giftcard! LOL... But I have no more RX coupons and hopefully my bbc friend will be able to get me the RX coupons in time for anything else that comes our way! UGH...

also to top this off... i have a TON of ECBs expiring on the 22nd! do I roll them? UGH... not even thinking straight. Totally and utterly exhausted with everything!

Safeway - Cheap Coca Cola Products again!!!!

If you missed the last go around from the summer, you can do it now!!!

Safeway is running the "Buy 2 coca cola 12 pack and get 3 - 12 packs for free." Then if you browse through the card section there is a tearpad "when you buy 3 hallmark expression cards get 1 coca cola 12 pack for free". This is another tearpad that is "buy 2 hallmark cards get one for free." But I have heard this one is a little harder to find since it was put out last week and they probably have taken it off the shelves already. I won't use this tearpad to calculate the deal below. If you can find this particular tearpad you can subtract $1.18 (2 x $.59 card) or $1.98 (2 x $.99 card) from the grand total below.

Since safeway is paying for 3 of the free 12 packs you can buy 6 cards to get the first 2 sets of 12 pack for free. All you are paying is the cards!!!! The cheapest hallmark expression card at my safeway is the small 2x2 for $.59 cents. If you can't find those you can do the $.99 cent cards which will work for this deal as well!!!

Calculation for the $.59 cent cards
$.59 2x2 card
x 6 quantity
$3.54 subtotal for cards

$5.49 coca cola
X 5 quantity

Giant - Muir Glen Tomato Paste Free after coupon

I saw this on HCW...

Muir Glen Tomato Paste should be $1 and on 10/21 inserts there is a $1 coupon off any Muir Glen product.

I went to one of my Giants today and they did not carry the Muir Glen line. So I will have to try another Giant to see if they have the product. If not, then I will try safeway and hopefully they have it.

Expired - Post-It Printable $3 off 2

Thanks to BBC Mommie again...

here is a printable from 3m for $3 off any 2 post-its. :)

Direct Link

It may take a while to load and it might even error out... so here's an image of the pdf.

CVS $5 off $15 coupon

Thanks to BBC mommie for sharing the link...

Here is a $5 off $15 coupon found on Albany Times Union website.

Here is the direct link to the pdf.

Here is the link to the ad that they posted...

FYI: I'm thinking that this wasn't meant to be a printable but it's posted online so I guess YMMV if you use this coupon.

Remember the other coupon I posted (the $3/15 from ABC news), I never ended up using that one either. HCW contacted ABC News and CVS and they stated that it wasn't suppose to be a printable.

Target - Glade Oil Candles

Saw this on HCW...

Glade Oil Candles - holiday varieties are 4.99 - there is a $4.00 off coupon in 12/2 paper.

The holiday refills are 2.00 - there is a $3/3 coupon in the paper as well.

So if you make 3 sets you can basically get a box of refills and a candle for $1.99.

Nice stocking stuffer!!!

Giant/Super Giant - Healthy Choice Meals

So I finally got out the house to do my Giant deal and it was pretty awesome. We had to buy milk for the boys and so we decided to just get it at Giant.

Transaction 1
6 - Healthy Choice Panini
Total 15.00
Used 3 - $1.00 mft cpns
OOP 12.00 and got back a 10 catalina

Transaction 2
6 - Healthy Choice Panini
Total 15.00
Used 3 - $1.00 mft cpns
Used 10.00 catalina from previous transaction
OOP 2.00 and got back a 10 catalina

Transaction 3
6 - Healthy Choice Pizza
Total 15.00
Used 3 - $1.00 mft cpns
Used 10.00 catalina from previous transaction
OOP 2.00 and got back a 10 catalina

Transaction 4
3 - Gallon Milk
Total 11.70
Used 10.00 catalina from previous transaction
OOP $1.70

We did the milk last because that would not generate any catalinas and that was something we had to buy no matter what. So eventhough we paid oop $12 in the first transaction, we were just borrowing the $10 there to use in the last transaction.

So overall we paid $6 for 18 healthy choice frozen meal and $11.70 for 3 - gallon milk. :)

I'm going to do this deal again on thursday since we will need milk again. hehehe... I don't like keeping the catalinas to use next time because I usually will forget or something will happen and then it's wasted.

Update CVS three part scenario

LOL... so I've kinda messed up my 3 part scenario here and there. so I had to tweak it a bit (thanks to the BBC girls for the extra set of eyes!!).

So I've changed the last part due to incorrect use of the 4/20 but it still works out to be a great scenario...

Also if I didnt want to do the 3 part scenario with the oasis, I could do the cough drop and consolidate. That's another option.

So if you see any other boo boo's, please let me know and I'll change it. hehehe

CVS 3 part Scenario for this week...

UPDATED: the garnier $2 cpn expired so I changed it out with the $1 cpn... so things look a little different oop wise!
Okay I finally finished my scenarios and it took me a while to think about how I could squeeze in the pepsi without paying. I finally figured it out. This is a 3 part scenario and the total overall ecbs you use and gain should lose $1.11 from your ecb stash (darn $2 garnier cpn). Hope that makes sense (I just added the box in the lower left corner on all three and that tells you what you make or lose).

You may see me tweak this here and there since I haven't really sat down to digest the entire thing to make sure all the coupons are correct. At a glance it looks right to me. If you see any discrepancies, let me know!

I won't be doing this scenario until my covergirl q's come. For some reason in my area, we never get those BOGO free cpns for makeup.

Keep in mind that the covergirl and pampers are qualifying items for the P&G $5ecb promo.
The pepsi is split across 3 transaction to bring down OOP cost since there are no cpns to lower the product. As for the Oasis mouthwash, there are two printables out. One is for $1 off and the other is $1.50. The $1 off cpn, I was able to print a ton. The $1.50 cpn I could only print 2 per computer. So I only used the $1 cpn in my scenarios (worst case scenario). :)

Giant/Super Giant

Saw this on HCW (thanks Susan1430)..... I haven't tried it but will sometime today to so if it works...

Healthy Choice Frozen dinners (I'm in MD)

Regular price $3.50, sale price: $2.50
buy 6 @ 2.50 = $15.00
- (3) 1.00/2 mfg coupons from 10/21 inserts
= $12.00 oop and the $10 OYNO catalina prints

So $2 for 6 frozen meals! :)

Simply Enjoy products (the 'gourmet' Giant brand)

Buy Simply Enjoy products between 11/16 & 12/10
Buy 2 and get $1.00
Buy 3 and get $3.00
Buy 4 and get $5.00
coupon off your next shopping order. all items must be purchased in one shopping order. limit to product in stock. no cash back. offer expires 12/10/07.

Note: catalinas for the chocolate bars don't print out all the time. It's a hit and miss and the buy 4 get $5 catalina doesn't work too well. It prints out the $3 catalina when you buy 4.

Apple and Bumbleberry Blossoms frozen desserts ($2.69)
Sparkling Beverages (Regular $2.50, current $2.00)
Dry pasta ($1.99 and up)
Candy ($1.50 and up)

To make the most out of this deal, if everything is working correctly... I will do the 4 candy bars first to get the lowest OOP.

$1.50 x 4 =$6 get $5 ONYO catalina

sparkling beverage
$2.00 x 4 =$8 - $5 catalina above = $3 oop and get $5 catalina

Healthy Choice Meals
$2.50 x 6 =$15-3 mft cpns - $5 catalina = $7 and get $10 catalina

Healthy Choice Meals
$2.50 x 6 =$15-3 mft cpns - $10 catalina = $2 and get $10 catalina

Rinse and repeat last step if I want more.

BUT read the notes in red above...

So if that's the case, I may skip the "simply enjoy products" and just do the Healthy Choice Meals instead. Just my OOP for the initial transaction will be high. :(

Fusion Razor Coupons Today!!!

I saw this on HCW.... There will be $4/1 Fusion Razor cpns in todays paper. This will go well with the next two week sale ads at CVS. The razors will be on sale for $9.99 and you get $6 ECB back.

They also said that the "Fusion Holiday Pack" would work. Which includes shaving cream or something like that....

So stock up on the cpns!!!

Friday, November 30, 2007 - Price Matching Update

Okie so I finally got my shoes yesterday and they are GORGEOUS!! I'm sooooo in love! LOL... I know my cousin is laughing at me now... hehehe..

Anyways...wanted to update you on the refund that I got. It didn't go quite as planned but it was still a good deal.

My first transaction was like this...
-5.00 shipping credit

They price matched amazon's $29.89 price plus 110% of the difference BUT they subtracted the $5 above for the shipping credit. :( So it was either one or the other. Of course I'm taking the 110%! LOL...

The ended up refunding my credit card $144.10.

-5.00 shipping credit
=$16.79 my final price, not bad for a $165 pair of shoe. :)

Transaction 2
-5.00 shipping credit
-45.10 (price matched it to 19.89 from amazon)
=$15.79 my final price, okay for a $65 pair of shoe. :)
-8% from ebates (yet to be determined what amount they will use to calculate the 8%)
=final price TBD

Not so enjoyable Email...

So I had to share the not so enjoyable email that I got yesterday (see below for hate mail). I've taken out the name and email address since that wasn't necessary. I guess you can say this is my first real hate mail? If I get more, I may or may not post them. It just depends on how "wrong" it rubs me.

Well anyways... I wanted to address this email...

Yes I do have 5 cards. I look at myself fine each day in the mirror unless I'm sick with a cold or flu. As for unethical, I'm not sure about that. If you call your own CVS customer care, they have not set parameters on how many cards one single person can have. Each of my 5 cards are all in my name and I have called into customer care on many occassions about all 5 of my cards in one phone conversation. If it was illegal, unethical, wrong, I think your own customer care would let me know that. BTW, even if I did have 5 cards, why didn't you bother to ask me if I was shopping for my family? Do you know how many members I have in my family? No I guess not, you didnt' bother. To tell you the honest truth, beside me and my cousin, no one else in my ENTIRE EXTENDED FAMILY (that would include about 45 people living in a radius of 30 miles from me) does not have a CVS card. I provide my CVS stash to my family and friends. My cousin provides her stash to her family and friends. I do sell a portion of my stash but so what. I do what I have to and I abide by the rules.

BTW, if you are still scratching your head in disbelief, please go to and check out the CVS threads there. You will see a whole board of people having more than one card and you may be shock to know that they are not ALL ASIANS! Or better yet go to and check out their CVS thread. You may be even more shocked. Those people have 10 or more cards and yup they aren't Asian's either!!!

As for you running into many Asians doing this, well I would say... Do you live in an "ALL" Asian area? Or maybe Asian's love to shop at your store because they love seeing you when you ring them up? Hmmm.... I'm not sure but either way... I truly do resent that comment you made because not just Asian's love to coupon shop at CVS with tons of CVS cards.

BTW... yes I am Asian.

Subject: 5 CVS CARDS

Hi. I work at CVS and came across your blog. I just do not understand how you can have five cards and still look at yourself. That is very unethical and yes, it is beating the system but it is also abusing the system. If you were saving all this money with one card that is different, but you know better than to use five cards. Also, are you Asian? Just curious. Alot of the people that come into the store are Asian that do the same thing as you.

Amazon Shoe Price Matching - Clarification!!!

Okie ladies.. I got tons of emails and I hope I answered all your questions... if not, I'll address it here so others can see as well...

What I did...
Found the shoe I liked on amazon. Amazon has to have the shoe and size in stock at the low price i want. Then I go to the two websites I provide and find the same exact shoe and size in stock. If they have it, I place the order immediately. I checkout and pay (if you have a ebates account go through ebates to get additional money back). After I paid for the shoes, I call their customer service immediately (it was less than 1 minute that I called and in my case it was You should call immediately because amazon sells out of shoes and size fast. To get the price match from the other two websites, amazon has to have those SAME EXACT SHOE AND SIZE in stock. They will go to amazon's website to verify this. If they see your same exact shoe and size in stock, they will issue a credit refund on your account after the shoe has shipped.

If for some reason the shoe is sold out on amazon and you placed your order already (with the other two websites) and they can't cancel your order, just ship it back to them. It's free returns from both websites (365 days from the day you ordered the shoe!).

just fyi... offers 8% back at and offers 6% back if you go through their services. is a shopping referral network. It's free to join and you get money back for shopping. :) When I placed my first order, I messed up and forgot about ebates or I would have gotten around $13.xx back and the final cost of that shoe would have been free with money back. :( oh well... I remembered to do it with my second pair of shoe and I should be getting $5.xx back and the final cost of that shoe should be $5.xx. :) hehehe...

If you would like a referral for, you can register and put my email addie in the referral box and it'll credit me $5 buck and you $10!!! :)

Amazon Shoes - Price Matching Pays Off!!!

Okie..this has nothing to do with coupons but it has everything to do with saving money! LOL... and getting shoes!!!

Amazon currently has tons of high end shoes for 80% off. Here's the link.

Find the shoe you like then go to these websites...

to find the same shoe and size in stock and they will price match it to amazon. TOTALLY AWESOME. If you go through ebates you save additional money as well!

I just ordered these two shoes from

Transaction 1
Original at 165.89 and price matched it to amazon for $29.98 and I am getting 110% of the difference as well. So I will end up paying $16.39 for the shoe and they will refund me $5 for shipping(their promotion right now). :) So bottom line price is $11.39 for $165 pair of shoe!!!

Transaction 2

This pair of shoe is $65.89 on and it's onsale at amazon for $19.98. So they price matched it and gave me 110% of the difference so the shoe will be $15.39 plus a refund of $5 for shipping!! Bottom line price $10.39!!! :) This particular pair of shoe would have been a lot cheaper at but they didnt have black in my size so they couldn't price match the amoutn. :( Oh well..

Update: I'm such a big retard... lol... i dont know why i didnt see this but the ad is for buy 4 gm cereal and save $4 ... hahaha..not buy 4 for $4!!! i guess it was wishful thinking.... anyways if you still do this deal it will be 4 for $4 after the two coupons. Still a good deal for the cereal if you have to buy them! My ds loves the lucky charms so it's still a deal for me. LOL

Safeway has a sale up.. when you buy 4 boxes of select General Mills Cereal you pay $4. Then there is a coupon from 11-4 inserts for $1.00 on two. So you can use two of these coupons to get 4 boxes of cereal for $2.

Thanksgiving CVS Shopping Totals!!!

Okie I woke up and did my CVS runs early! I went to 3 CVS to finish my transaction for 5 cards. I would have tried to finish it at 2 stores but they didn't have enough of the products for me and I didnt want to split my transactions.

So here goes...

$392.19 -Total before coupon
$237.19 - After Coupons
$233.00 - ECB Used
$6.23 - Total Cash OOP
$313.75 - ECB Earned

It's give and take here and there but those are the numbers... But what I'm most excited about is that I only spent $6.23 cents out of pocket and I used $233 in ECBS but I got back $313.75 ECBS.

The only problem i noticed with my ecbs is that the tylenol vial didn't print the $1.49. So I have to call CS to have them issue that on my card.

For those that are doing these thanksgiving CVS sale, I would say get the CVS ziploc bags first cause they run out quick!!!

My Giant Haul...

I bought 20 Simple Steam Boxed Veggies (tons of variety), 10 crescent Rolls and 5 Pizza Dough Rolls and a $13.03 Turkey all for $1.03. I paid $1.03 because I had a $7 and $5 catalina from the unilever deal last week and so those catalina pays for my turkey for thanksgiving! :) the rest were simply free!!

I ordered more cpns for the simply steam boxed veggies. :) BTW I have tons of the crescent roll cpns but the rolls will only keep for a month or two. Do any of you gals know if we can freeze this to use later? will it keep well? If not, I'm not going to stock up on them.

Thanks all for the compliments on my worksheet (posted on the left links area). It really does mean a lot to me that I can actually help.

Let me know how it goes with my spreadsheet and if it's actually saving you time. :) Would love to here from ya'll!

CVS Transaction from yesterday..

This was a pretty good transaction. I did it 5 times (one on each card) with a little variation among the 5 but generally the same. I was also able to break my huge $29.99 ecb up and I'm happy about that!!!

2 - garnier gel cleanser
4 - palmolive
1 - gillette fusion razor
1 - gillette venus razor
2 - jergens
1 - dove vitalizer
1 - oral crossaction power

2 - $2/1 garnier mft
1 - $2/1 gillette fusion mft
1 - $2/1 gillette venus mft

1 - $2/$10 cvs flu flyer
1 - $5/$25 beauty CVS printable
$10 - crt
$32 ecb (used my ameal ecb and a small ecb)

Total OOP $.48 cents plus tax and got $33 ecb back.

Shrek the 3rd DVD Peelies found!!

Found the $3 manufacturer peelies at Giant/Super Giant. This will go awesome with my CVS $10 Shrek Ecb!!!

This is one the transaction I'm planning on doing for the Shrek Deal...

19.99 shrek 3rd movie
$11.98 garnier gel cleanser 2ea

$10 - shrek ecb cpn
$4 - garnier $2/1 cleanser cpn
$3 - Shrek peelie
$4 - CRT
$10 - ECB

Pay $.97 OOP and gain $10ecb back from garnier

I have another scenario using a $10/$50 CRT but i'm not going to post that since many of you can't get your hands on a $10/50 CRT.

Giant Deal... Got even sweeter!!

a few days ago I posted some scenarios for the giant catalina deals...well low and behold...they are sweeter now!!! and possible HUGE money makers if you have the right coupons...

HCW posters are reporting that giant is counting the original prices to reach the catalina deals instead of the sale prices. So this mean less products to buy to reach our $ catalina limits! And they are printing multiple catalinas when you pass the $ points.

Unilever Catalina - Buy $20 get $7 ONYO catalina OR
Unilever Catalina - Buy $15 get $5 ONYO catalina

Health & Beauty Catalina - Buy $10 get $2 H&B catalina

Scenario #1
2.99 sunsilk shampoo (orig 3.99)
2.99 sunsilk shampoo (orig 3.99)
2.99 sunsilk shampoo (orig 3.99)
2.99 sunsilk conditioner (orig 3.99)
2.99 sunsilk conditioner (orig 3.99)
2.99 sunsilk conditioner (orig 3.99)
$17.94 ~~~~~~~~(orig. total 23.94)
-6.00 - need 3 - $2/1 mft
-8.97 - need 3 WYB shampoo get conditioner free
$2.97 Total and you will get back one $7 unilever catalina and two $2 H&B catalina.

then rinse and repeat using the $2 H&B to pay for your transactions. :)

or without the WYB coupons...

Scenario #2
2.99 sunsilk shampoo (orig 3.99)
x 6
$17.94 ~~~~~~~~(orig. total 23.94)
-12.00 - need 6 - $2/1 mft
$5.94 Total and you will get back one $7 unilever catalina and two $2 H&B catalina.

Scenario #3
$1.99 Caress 2pk bar soap (orig $2.69)
x 6
$11.94 ~~~~~~~~~(orig total $16.14)
-6.00 - caress mft cpns $1/1
-2.00 - H&B coupon from above
$3.94 total and get back one $7 unilever catalina and one $2 H&B catalina

Other Monthly CVS Scenarios...

Scenario #1
$2.99 Purrel 8oz
x 4
11.96 total
-6 - you need 4 $1.50/1 purell mft cpns
-2 - $/$$ coupon found at pharmacy
3.96 total and get $4ecb back

Scenario #2
4.29 Jergens lotion small bottle
x 6
25.75 total
-6.00 - you need 6 $1/1 jergens coupon found at cvs
-5.00 - CVS printable beauty product cpn
-2 - $/$$ coupon found at pharmacy
-4 - $/$$ printable
10.74 total and get back $15ECBs

You can tweak the jergens scenario a few ways... there are $.75 mft cpns that were in the sunday paper a few weeks ago if you can't find the $1 off cpns. Also if you don't want to stack the $2 coupon found at the pharmacy you can take that out. This is still a huge money maker. :)

What to use the $2.50/10 CVS Brand CRTs on...

heheh.. I have a number of these pesky $2.50/$10 CVS brand CRTs and I really don't want them to go to waste... so here are some scenarios that I came across on HCW...

Scenario #1

$3.19 - 500 ct beige CVS Cotton Swabs (limit 5)
x 4
-2.50 - CVS Brand CRT
-2.00 - $/$$ coupon found at pharmacy section
Total $8.26 and you get back $8 ECB.

So use $8 ecb from your stash to pay for this transaction and you end up paying $.26 cents and they you have successfully rolled your $8 ECB along with getting free cotton swabs! :)

Scenario #2

$1.99 CVS Soap 2pk
$1.99 CVS Soap 2pk
$1.99 CVS Soap 2pk
$1.99 CVS Soap 2pk
$2.29 CVS Soap 2pk
10.25 Total
-2.50 - CVS Brand CRT
-2.00 - $/$$ coupon found at pharmacy section
Total $5.75 and you get back $5 ecb also!!!

So you can roll another $5 ecb and pay $.75!!!

CVS - rolling $9 ecb

so here's my weekly rolling of my CVS ecbs...

$9.99 degree clinical protection deo (limit 1)
$1.49 goody pain relief powder (limit 1)
$2.50 aquapod 8pk (limit 1 but have to buy 2)
$2.50 aquapod 8pk (limit 1 but have to buy 2)
$2.99 crest toothpaste (limit 1)
$1.09 fruit20 drink
$1.09 fruit20 drink

Total $21.65

cpns used
$2 degree clinical 10/7 V
$1/2 aquapod 9/16 V
$1 crest 10/14 PG
$1.09 CVS Promo BOGO on fruit2o
$1 fruit20 diabetes booklet
2/10 cvs flu pamplet coupon
4/20 cvs printable
$9 ECB

Total OOP $.56 plus tax and gain $9.49 in ecbs

Giant - Sunsilk Deal

I forgot to post this... but here goes...

Part of the buy $20 unilever product get $7 OYNO and also part of the spend $10 H&B products get $2 catalina on H&B products

$4.19 sunsilk shampoo/conditioner (i'm not sure of the exact price but this is cvs/target price)
x 5
-10 - need 5 $2/1 mft cpns valassis 10/7
10.95 oop get back $7 ONYO and two $2 ONYO

I think this will work since the $7 is the unilever products and the $2 is beauty products.

so basically you pay $1.95 for 5 bottles of sunsilk. I guess this is a good deal if you use sunsilk! :

Giant - Keri Renewal Lotion

I saw this on HCW and this deal might be the last day for this...not totally sure... will check it out later today...

$5.99 Keri Renewal Lotion (orig $15.99)
x 2
-$5.00 mft keri renewal lotion cpn SS 11/4
-$5.00 mft keri renewal lotion cpn SS 11/4
$1.98 OOP and get 3 $2 catalina for H&B products for next time

It's generating three because if you spend $10 on H&B products you get a $2 catalina and someone from HCW realized you dont have to seperate the transactions and it's counting the original prices...

CVS Scenario - Degree Clinical Deo

Here is a small scenario for that very very expensive deo! LOL

$9.99 Degree Clinical Deo
$1.09 Fruit20
$1.09 Fruit20
12.17 Total
-2.00 mft cpn Valassis 10/7
-1.09 BOGO CVS sale on fruit20
-1.00 $1/2 fruit20 cvs diabetes booklet
-2.00 cvs $2/10 purchase found in stores
6.08 Total OOP and get back $5 ECB for the degree

Toysrus - Wii Super Mario Galaxy

On November 13 (in stores only), Toysrus will sell the newly release (releasing that day) Wii Super Mario Galaxy for $49.99 and you will get a $25 giftcard for future purchase. This is a pretty good deal if you have little kiddos that are Wii fanatics! This is a great xmas present if you are looking for Wii games for less OOP.

CVS Fillers

So I ran across this at HCW and thought it was worth mentioning...

If you are short on dollar amount to reach $/$$, here are good fillers if you need them!

Contrex bottled water
They are $1.49 each, there are tearpads on the doors (fridge section) for .75/1. Buy 2 and your total would be $2.98 (that is your filler amount). Use the coupons to bring them down to $1.48 and get back $1 in ECB's (must buy 2, limit 5 for the month of november)
Total OOP = .48 per 2 bottles or .24 each

Fruit20 Bottles - For this week only (week of 11/4)
Fruit2O is BOGO Free. They are $1.09 each (this is your filler amount also), use $1/2 CVS Q from diabetes booklet and you end up paying $.09 cents for two bottles.

Safeway - Free Shampoo and Eclipse Mints

UPDATE: I did my deal today and it was great! :) I notice that the vive pro doesn't end today but instead it ends on 11/14!!! So there is still time to get in on this deal~!!!

Nothing too exciting but safeway is having BOGO free on Vive Pro Shampoo. So if you missed out on Giant you can do Safeway. It ends today so hurry and go! If you miss this one you can go to Superfresh and do the BOGO free deal there as well. :) Superfresh ends on Thursday.

Free eclipse mints at safeway... They are onsale for $1 a pack. There were coupons out on 9/26/07 smartsource for $.50 a pack. Safeway will double that to $1, so totally free mints! :)

Turned down by Soup Kitchen!

LOL... so i just got off the phone with Shepherds Table and the guy I talked to over the phone declined my good gesture of donating all my betty crocker cookie mixes, betty crocker fruit snacks, cereal and etc... He said they dont' bake at their establishment there and on top of that they have Whole Foods, Giant and Safeway donating cakes and cookies to them already!

Talk about PICKY! I really didnt know that these soup kitchens were so well off that when donating items, they would actually turn stuff away.

This is what I was donating...
40+ betty crocker cookie mix
70+ betty crocker fruit snacks
20+ cereal boxes
15+ mini candy bars bags (snickers, skittles, starburst, etc)
6 jars of peanut butter

I'm just totally BUMMED! now back to the drawing board of who will be the lucky recepients of my stockpile.

CVS Scenarios without Nova Max Cpn

If you look to the left "Spreadsheet Forum" you will find the scenarios I will do for this weeks CVS shopping. I know it's late but I was super busy during the beginning of the week with Giant. LOL..

BTW, I have over $100 in the giant $4 off your next purchase cpns... I did the betty crocker fruit snack deal so many times that i have tons of these coupons now. The fruit snacks are getting donated to Shepherd's Table sometime in the next two weeks along with some other stockpile items that I have. Hopefully they can make good use out of those items. I know some of this stuff isn't the healthiest but maybe some of the children or adults will enjoy a little bit of sugar?

CVS Scenario Using Nova Max Cpns

So the scenario I made the other day was huge and I thought about it and it was really hard to buy all those items at the pharmacy... so I shortened the list to this...

1 nova max
1 essences of beauty bag (14.99)
1 essences of beauty lotion (3.33)

nova max CVS cpn
$2.50 CRT off cvs brand items (essences of beauty is one of those brands)
$11 ecb

Total OOP less than $1~ and you get back $20 ecb for nova max and $5 for essences of beauty.

This is how the bag looks like... I did this deal 4 times and got 4 bags. These will make great gifts for the teachers during the holiday season. I'll add a gift card and maybe some other stuff. I will take out the lotion that the bag comes with. I think it stinks but the bag and slippers and cosmetic bag is really cute.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

CVS Scenario using Nova Max Cpns i finally scored some of the CVS booklets! I'm so excited...

here is my scenario using the nova max cpn in the diabetic booklet. I will use $46 ECB bucks to pay for this transaction but I will get my $46 bucks back. Nice way of rolling those ecbs if you really needed to!

Update: you can add the $2 skincare CVS printable as well. I totally forgot about it but Martha reminded me! :) Thanks!!!

Click on the image to view entire scenario.

Target Aussie Shopping - OVERAGE

So I finally was able to locate a bunch of the Aussie Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, Mousse & Hairspray!!! They were all marked down to $.62 cents and I have a coupon for $2 off of any Aussie Styler AND Shampoo or Conditioner.

I got 19 sets total and got $.76 cents overage for each set ($14.44).

I only have 5 aussie coupons left but I doubt I will be able to find anymore.

So for $113 apprx worth of aussie products I paid nothing and got back $14.44 in overage! I used the overage to buy my wireless router. The one I had died on me the other day and I wasn't a happy camper! LOL

CVS Diabetes Book worth over $160 bucks

Okay so the search is on! I want this book and need approximate 5-7 books atleast~!!! This will cover my 5 cards and my cousins 2 cards...hehehe... I'm not desperate enough to buy these on ebay yet but if anyone is willing to ROAK me these books (and of course I'll pay for shipping) that would be awesome. I'll try hunting it down at CVS again today (had no luck over the course of the week) but I'm not too hopeful.

For those that don't know what the heck I'm talking about, then.... BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THIS BOOK (thanks to a BBC mommie for posting pic)!!!

Oh I so hope I find them today!!!

Target - Diapers and more! Not free but awesome price!

Targets diaper deal

For normal couponers and no couponers weren't great so I didnt really post it for you to try and do since many of the coupons you need will help bring the cost of the diapers down (from overage) and it's really not for the shy couponers either! LOL...

Sooooo.... overage is awesome way to bring down the cost of diapers. My target never adjust the cpns and they are okay with me buying in sets of 10-15 items.... I never wipe out the shelves when I do trial/travel sizes so others have something to look forward to. :)

Giant -Awesome Betty Crocker Deal

So I finally did the Betty Crocker deal yesterday (has been raining like cats and dogs here for the past 2 days and the boys were sickish so have been house bound) and it was AWESOME!!!

I did 4 transaction in the morning and got 20 boxes of betty crocker fruit snacks and $16 bucks back in catalinas!!! The best part is.... ZERO out of pocket! Not even TAX!!!!

So I was so excited that I did 4 more transactions in the evening and got 20 more boxes and an additional $16 bucks! hehehe

This will come in handy to buy milk at Giant since they are running a promo of buy 6 gallons of milk and get 1 free.

Hope you gals can get in on this deal when you can cause it's really such an awesome deal.

Smartsource 9/9/07 -
516000440246 Betty Crocker Fruit by the Foot, Fruit Gushers, or Roll-Ups, any .50/2 (11-4-07)
Smartsource 9/16/07 -
516000443506 Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups Fruit Stackerz Fruit Flavored Snacks, any .50 (11-17-07)
Smartsource 10/14/07 - 516000443506 Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups Fruit Stackerz Fruit Flavored Snacks, any .50 (12-8-07)

Breakdown (no doubling of coupons)
$ 1 x 5 = $5 -($.50x5) = $2.50 and get a $4 catalina for next time.

Rinse Repeat
$ 1 x 5 = $5 -($.50x5) = $2.50 - $4 (from above) = -$1.50 overage and get a $4 catalina for next time.

So basically by doing this you can get free $1.50 to use on other purchases. If your Giant doubles then this would be even better!!! I'm not sure if my giant doubles so I will have to check it out~!!

UPDATE: I just called my giant and they do double up to $.50!!! SO THIS WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

Breakdown (coupons double to $.50)
$ 1 x 5 = $5 -($.50x5x2) = $0.00 and get a $4 catalina for next time.

Rinse Repeat
$ 1 x 5 = $5 -($.50x5x2) = $0.00 - $4 (from above) = -$4.00 overage and get a $4 catalina for next time.

So you see that I have the -$4 there you can substitute that for grocery (MILK) and it basically would be free!!! I will be stocking up on milk! LOL I will rinse and repeat this 6 times to get my 7th milk free and I'll have 30 boxes of betty crocker fruit roll ups!!! My boys go through a gallon of milk a day and Milk is EXPENSIVE~!!!

BTW... these would be good for halloween handouts if you dont want to give candy. But you know what, they are almost like candy since they are super sweet anyways!

New Things to the left

I added more links to the left. The new November ECB book for CVS is there. I got that from HCW. I also updated my spreadsheet with the ECB listings (also from HCW). I have scenarios up but those are for this week and usually they are more for myself than for you. But you can see what I'm buying if you care. LOL

Target - Cheap or Free Stuff Rundown

Okie... I keep forgetting to post this but here goes...

Some Targets have the Ragu on sale for $1.25. On targets website there is a target printable for $.75 off. If you pair this up with the manufacturer coupon that came out on Valassis 9/16/07 ($1 off 3), you have yourself a really really good deal on Ragu. Personally I love Prego but for this cheap, I'm willing to buy it. Only problem I have is that all my Ragu's are markedt $1.89!!! My cousins target has it market $1.25!!! Many others are reporting that it's also $1.25. My Targets are usually a hit and miss with this type of thing. We are close to the university and they always try to charge us more! Anyways your bottom line would be this... $1.25-$.75-$.33=$.17 for a bottle but you will have to buy 3 due to the mft cpn. So your real total would be $.17 x 3 = $.51!!!

Sheba Cat Food
Target has a printable B1G1 free Sheba Dome Cat food. There is a mft cpn that came out on Valasiss 9/26/07 that is a B1G1 free also. Combine the two and you pay nothing! The register doesnt even beep so this is a good deal if you need free cat food! :)

Dove Facial Cleaners
If you go to the travel section for beauty products you will find dove facial cleansing cloth for $.97-.99 cents. Pair this up with mft cpn from Valassis 8/12/07 ($1 off 1 Dove Face Product) or Valassis 9/30/07 ($1.50 off 1 Dove Face Product) and you got free product plus overage. Be ready for the register to beep since the cpn is more than the product. The mft cpns does not specify size so this should be accepted at your Target but YMMV.

St Ives Lotion and Scrub
Also in the travel section for beauty products you will find St. Ives Lotion and St. Ives Facial Scrubs. Pair this up with the below mft cpns and you got yourself a few free products! This would be great to making minature gift baskets for the upcoming holiday!
Smartsource 9/16/07
St. Ives Lotion $1 off 1 (no size limit on mines but in some regions there are size limits)
St. Ives Scrub $1 off 1 (no size limit on mines but in some regions there are size limits)

Sunsilk Summer Product Line
These were marked down at target for $1.25 to $1.75. Combine that with the $2 off 1 mft cpn found on 10/7/07 Valassis, then you got yourself some free products and overage!!! I personally scorec about 35 products total all for free and some overage!!! I had major beepage but the cashier didnt mind hitting that K1 button! :)

Aussie Combo Pack
Be on the look out for these. They are currently marked down to $1.25-$1.75. I'm hoping they would go down some more! There is a coupon out on 10/14/07 Proctor and Gamble that will take $2 off of the Aussie products if you buy one Styler and one Shampoo or Conditioner!!! With the prices above, you will still have to pay $1. That is still cheap but I rather have it for free so I will wait. There are some of you that rather buy it at this price since it's a product you use but for me, nah, I'll wait! Just be on the lookout for these!

Safeway - .25 cent Aquafresh Toothpaste

Well if you really need toothpaste, Safeway is having 10 for $10 sale on normal aquafresh toothpaste. You can match this up with the $.75 MFT cpn that came out on Smartsource 10/7/07.

Personally I wouldnt spend money on toothpaste because you can get it free usually at CVS but if you really really need toothpaste then close to free is still good! :)

Red Baron Promotion - Free Companion Tickets with purchase of 10 Red Baron Products!

This is pretty cool. I saw it at the bottom of my Giant receipt. This promotion states that if you buy ten (10) participating RED BARON® Pizza items at GIANT, MARTIN’S OR
TOPS® throughout the promotion period (9/9/07 through 11/3/07) using your
BONUSCARD and qualify for a free* companion airline fare.

That's pretty sweet! I was planning on purchasing tickets to see my cousin in Hawaii and thought this promo would come in handy. The good news is that it will save me money. The bad news is that the promo doesnt fly to Hawaii! LOL... So i guess I can still do this by flying to LA and then purchasing separate tickets to fly to Hawaii.

Also the companion tickets can be transferred to someone else prior to booking. If you booked the flight using the companion ticket then it cannot be transferred. Well I guess you should read the fine prints for yourself (see below for links).

For more information on this promotion... check out or Red Baron Official Rules on Giants Website

CVS - Tylenol Deal

I did two additional transactions last night revolving around Tylenold (spend 20 get 10 ecb) and the eucerin redness (spend 20 get 12ecb).

Well the cvs I went to didnt have the eucerin so I modified my transactions to just the tylenol and various other things. I calculated to the dime what I was suppose to get and guess what, it worked for one transaction and not the other! UGH... What I realized was that the cvs I went to last night has a slight price difference among the other cvs I go to.

For this deal, the tylenol that I purchased should have been 9.99 but it rang up at this cvs for 9.69! So I was short .24 cents to get my 10ecb to print. This means I have to go back and buy another set of Tylenol to get my 10 ecb to print. The bad thing is I will have to do two seperate transactions so I dont get a $20ecb for the tylenol. I dont like super huge ECBS.

Lesson learned... So when doing your transactions, make sure the prices are standard at the CVS you are shopping at or your calculations will get a little screwed up.

Giant - L'oreal Vive Pro

I did the free L'oreal Vive Pro Nutrigloss last night and got an additional 8 bottles for free. The sale ends on Friday so you gals better rack up what you can or we probably won't see another sale like this for awhile!

Also, I just wanted to say when doing this deal be very careful about the shampoos and conditioners you pick up. The coupon is only good for the Vive Pro Nutrigloss (light pink bottles). If you happen to pick up the wrong bottles (anything but the light pink bottles), be ready cause your coupons will beep and you will need manager intervention! LOL... I learned this the hard way but I just wanted to let you know so this will save you the hassle of having a manager come over to cross examine your coupons and items. :)

Vent: I post on HCW on a daily basis and when I found out why the vive coupons were beeping, I posted this on the thread under the "Giant" tab (under the Free vive post)... Well this morning I found out that the moderator removed my post because I was promoting coupon fraud. ((TALK ABOUT BEING PISSED)) I was not promoting coupon fraud. I was trying to help the other girls figure out why their coupons were beeping. Sometimes I just hate HCW, they have such a double standard!!! The one that removed my post was "Mrs. Pinecone - Larissa". I emailed her back and told her that I was not promoting "coupon fraud" and I was just trying to pinpoint why the coupons were working for some and not others (since I knew why after looking at my receipts and sitting and thinking about this stupid beeping problem). I also asked her why there was a double standard about removing post related to coupon fraud when I have asked this same question in the "Superfresh" tab under the "triple coupon post"? Isn't it fraud to use a coupon that states do not double or triple and you do it anyways? The funny thing is that SHE (Mrs Pinecone - Larissa) was the one promoting using the "starkist tuna blinkie coupon" to get free starkist tuna during the triple promotion deal. I stated that doesnt all blinkie coupons say do not triple? and guess what, she totally ignored my post and kept posting about getting free tuna using that freakin BLINKIE COUPON! Talking about freaking double standards.

okie vent over... had to get it off my chest!

I added a new feature to my blog, the subscribe button! :) So now you can stay current with everything on my blog! :)

Hope this helps you!

Safeway - Receipt Adjustment & Shopping!

Thank goodness for saving receipts. I looked over my receipts from last week and there were some wrong prices on my receipt that I didnt have the cashier fix when I was shopping (due to long lines and didnt want to hold up the line). So I brought my 2 receipts in today to have them price adjust it back to the correct amts.

Receipt 1 - Fuji apples were suppose to be $1.25 but they charged me $1.69
Receipt 2 - I bought the Social Crackers and the $4 instant cpn didnt come off, so they adjusted that too~!!!

$5 off any Polly Pockets

Here is a coupon straight from the manufacturer that you can print and redeem at Target, Walmart, Kmart, CVS...

If you go to walmart, target or toysrus, you can get free polly pockets with this coupon.

It's only one coupon per person.

Indoor Yardsale - not too shabby

Well I tried an indoor yardsale for the first time and it wasn't as good as the first one that I did a few weeks ago but it wasn't too bad. There were 40 vendors and about 100 or so customers. The foot traffic wasn't as great as an outdoor market but I think everyone that came through the door ended up buying atleast one thing from us. LOL...

I ended up making about $360 profit (minus setup fees). The yardsale was from 9am-1pm. It was pretty cool but wished there were more foot traffic.

Anyways it was fun! Hopefully I'll make more next time.

Shopping Summary

It was a shopping spree for me today. I have so many stores I had to go to it was crazy... The funny thing about it all was that it only took me 2 1/2 hours to finish this all and get home!!! Most of my time was wasted at Target standing in the line waiting for the cashier to examine my coupons and then to press that darn K1 button. Don't get me wrong it was all well worth it but it just took a long time and the people behind me started to get impatient. I wish there was a checkout lane just for coupon shoppers. LOL... so other's won't have to get annoyed with me.

BTW... I'm doing my 2nd yard sale/flea market tomorrow and I'm so excited! I wish I could go to sleep right now but I can't, the twins are up and they won't sleep! So all I can do is wait it out with them until they are ready to go down. I will be so pooped tomorrow but oh well...

Total bust.. .I tried looking for the playhouse that ya'll got for $30 bucks but no luck... The twins and my 4 year old would have loved it but oh well...

Giant/Super Giant (not giant eagle)

I did the Loreal BOGO free deal and it worked like a charm!!! I was skeptical at first if this would work, so I only took 5 conditioner and 5 shampoo and a pack of gum ($1.20) to the register. The cashier rang them all through ($4.99 each) and then I handed her my coupons (5 - bogo free) and then I entered my club card. My total was $2.xx!!! The cashier was impressed and so was I! hehehe... I told the cashier that I had more coupons so I'm putting these in the car and coming back to do the rest.

Went back and and bought an additional 26 bottles and paid $3.xx oop. That was all tax.

I went to a different safeway to see if the crackers and cream cheese deal would automatically calculate correctly and WAHLAH!!! Jackpot it worked like a charm without any intervention! I wanted to get more crackers but there was only 6 boxes left so I grabbed 5 to do my deal. Safeway promo ends 10/23 so you all have time to get in on this awesome deal!!!

Transaction 1
5 boxes of ritz social crackers ($2 each)

$.55 - used two - ritz cracker mft cpn
$4 - instant off safeway promo crackers and cheese
$5 - instant off safeway promo progresso

my total was -$.10, so I had to throw in a candy bar and I ended up paying $.65!!!

Transaction 2
4 philly cheese containers ($2 each)

-4 instant off safeway promo crackers and cheese

Total OOP $4 and got $2 catalina for next time

Transaction 3
4 philly cheese containers ($2 each)

-4 instant off safeway promo crackers and cheese
-2 catalina from previous transaction

Total OOP $2 and got $2 catalina to use next time

I have more glade plugins to stock up on.. The cashier was very nice but the k1 button had to be pushed 32 times since everyone of my coupon had overage (except the pampers)... It was a long wait but well worth it!!!. so here goes..

20 glade plugins ($2.50)
10 purell 2oz ($1.39 ea)

1 pampers size 4 (16.99)

10 purell mft cpn $1.50 each
2 dove face product mft cpn $1.50 each
1 pampers mft cpn $1.00

Total OOP $7.xx

Did a total of 4 transaction at CVS and it was all pretty good. My cashier was super nice and she said I got really really great deals. hehe... She even notice that I had my shopping list printed out with my coupons attached to each transaction. Eveyrthing went smoothly and it took about 5 minutes or so to ring up all 4 transactions...

Transaction 1
